Users of PLS' UDE Universal Debug Engine 2025 now benefit from the ability to debug program code of Bosch's Generic Timer IP Module (GTM) in the GTM simulation model of Coside Simulator from Coseda Technologies. For the efficient analysis of the timing behavior of ECUs, Vector and PLS Programmierbare Logik & Systeme offer a free timing bundle which can be used to identify and eliminate timing problems in early project phases. Currently, the TriCore and Aurix MCU families from Infineon are supported. The timing bundle for PLS’ UDE Universal Debug Engine is based on the Vector ECU basic software Microsar Classic and the TA Tool Suite and is available from Vector.

Sony Semiconductor Solutions launches the industry's first CMOS image sensor for automotive cameras that can simultaneously process and output RAW and YUV images. RAW images are required for the detection and recognition of the external environment by ADAS and AD systems. No turnaround in e-car registrations

Commercial registrations of electric cars are not likely to pick up again until 2025, predicts the ADAC. At least there are positive trends on the used car market. In July 2024, 30,762 pure electric vehicles were registered in Germany (12.9 per cent of all newly registered vehicles). Compared to the previous month, this represents a decrease of almost 13,000 vehicles or around 29 per cent (June 2024: 43,412 registrations) and a year-on-year decrease of 36.8 per cent.
