A 56-year-old man was fatally shot in Long Beach. The shooting occurred in the 1900 block of 45th Street. When police arrived, they located the victim, who was later identified as Travis Lee Robinson Sr., a resident of Long Beach. Officers and other first responders rendered medical care to Robinson Sr., but he died. A motive for the shooting remains under investigation.

The Pacific Coast Highway, closed to the public since the Palisades Fire, is set to reopen in time for summer, Governor Gavin Newsom announced Saturday. Since the fires, access to the PCH has been limited to residents of the fire-impacted area, essential businesses, and repair crews. But that will change by the end of May, when the highway is expected to reopen to the public—months earlier than initially projected. "We are on track to reopen the highway by the end of May," the Governor said.

Authorities reported Sunday that multiple people have been injured in a bus crash on the 15 Freeway in San Bernardino County. The San Bernardino County Fire Department said on X that multiple ambulances were being requested following the crash on the southbound lanes for the thoroughfare at Kenwood Avenue in Devore.
