At least eight people have been confirmed killed, while an unspecified number were injured after an apartment building collapsed on Tuesday in Egypt’s capital, Cairo. The country’s Health Ministry said in a statement that the six-story building in Cairo’s western neighborhood of Waili collapsed in the early hours of the day. Cairo’s governor, Ibrahim Saber, who spoke with reporters at the scene of the disaster, said he had ordered the evacuation of neighboring houses as a precautionary measure.
