I love how foundation can turn skin into a smooth, flawless dream…on other people. On me? It’s a battle. Often a promising formula cakes and clumps up dry patches into little clingy pebbles. Or, it pools into fine lines, so by hour three, my face looks like a roadmap of Texas. I want a natural finish that's not too thick and looks sheer but still evens things out. I’m not sure I have ever really successfully achieved that, and as my skin ages, it’s becoming harder and harder to get close.
