>> WELL, IT’S PRETTY WARM OUTSIDE THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES ARE IN THE UPPER 60S TO LOW 70S ACROSS MUCH OF THE DEEP SOUTH, REALLY FROM MISSISSIPPI DOWN TOWARDS HOUSTON, TEXAS, AND OFF TOWARDS THE EAST IS WARM THIS MORNING. THAT COLD FRONT HASN’T MADE IT THROUGH JUST YET, BUT YOU CAN SEE RIGHT WHERE IT’S AT WHERE WE’RE SEEING 50S FROM NASHVILLE TOWARDS MEMPHIS, LITTLE ROCK OVER IN SHREVEPORT, AND DALLAS, THAT COOL, COOL AIR IS EVENTUALLY GOING TO BE HEADED OUR WAY AS WE HEAD INTO THE AFTERNOON.

>> DEFINITELY NOT THE IDEAL WAY TO BE STARTING OFF THIS MONDAY MORNING. WE’VE HAD A LOT OF RAIN YESTERDAY, CONTINUED THROUGHOUT THE OVERNIGHT AND STILL GOING ON HERE THIS MORNING. THE BULK OF THE HEAVIEST OF THE RAIN IS NOW MOVING OUT OF MISSISSIPPI, THOUGH REALLY INTO PARTS OF THE VIRGINIAS, OHIO NORTH AND SOUTH CAROLINA THIS MORNING. SO THAT’S WHERE ALL THE HEAVY RAIN IS AT. WE STILL HAVE SOME SCATTERED SHOWERS MOVING ACROSS SOUTH MISSISSIPPI THIS MORNING.

Temperatures are much warmer than what they have been over the past few mornings. Here we are waking up in the mid forties to even low fifties across the region. 54 over in Vicksburg, 55 now over in Natchez 46 for cause go and in Carthage at the moment. So if you are up and getting ready for the day, still want to grab that jacket because there's still *** little bit of *** chill in the air, but you can probably ditch the jacket by the afternoon, but you want the raincoat.

The Mississippi Valley State University is preparing for a trip to Italy next year.The choir was invited to participate in the Verona International Choral Competition in March. The choral director, Brandon Crash, said his goal is to make the students experience in Europe a memorable one. "The choir is very special because they work very hard. Many of them are first-time college students, meaning this is their first time coming to college.

YORK. >> WELL, WE ARE WAKING UP WITH SOME REALLY COLD TEMPERATURES ONCE AGAIN HERE. THIS MORNING. MOST OF US ARE IN THE 30S HERE ACROSS THE DEEP SOUTH. NOT EVERYONE IN MISSISSIPPI IS WAKING UP AT THAT FREEZING POINT, BUT A LOT OF US, ESPECIALLY IN THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE STATE, ARE WAKING UP WITH FREEZING TEMPERATURES RIGHT AT THAT POINT THERE. HERE IN JACKSON, 32 DEGREES, 29 UP IN MEMPHIS, RIGHT NOW. THIS COLD WEATHER STRETCHES ALL THE WAY DOWN TOWARDS THE COASTLINE ONCE AGAIN.
