1 Introduction Fashion is a profound cultural expression that reflects who we are and how we relate to others (Gardetti and Torres 2017). Moreover, it is subject to recurrent and transient trends that enable us to distinguish one era from another, and even one social class from another. In other words, fashion is an important factor in social transformation and development; it challenges norms, shapes habits and generates value in multiple ways.
