AN urgent "keep doors and windows closed" warning has been issued to households around Ireland as temperatures hit 25C. Many will be tempted to leave them open to cool down as mercury soars - but homeowners who do risk an unwanted insect visitors. Met Eireann said that today is the second time in Irish climate records that shaded air temperatures have gone above 25°C in April. Consequently, it is the second-earliest climatological summer day.
