    The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered the posting and redeployment of 40 senior police officers, comprising 14 Assistant Inspectors General of Police and 26 Commissioners of Police.     The Nigeria Police Force have said the Acting Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has never withdrawn police officers attached to important personalities in the country. A statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, clarified that the IGP only withdrew Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel from certain important personalities.

    The Ogun State Government has sealed 10 unapproved medical facilities located in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area. Commissioner for Health, Dr. Tomi Coker, had led a medical team comprising personnel of the Hospital Services Department of the Ministry, those of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), and others to the local government area.

    A police constable attached to the Lagos State Police Command, Wale Akinlotan, has slumped and died while on duty at Ilupeju police division. DAILY POST learnt that the policeman enrolled into the Nigeria Police Force in 2018 and has once served at the Lagos Police Public Relations Office, as one of its media men. The graduate of Mass Communication from the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Akinlotan, slumped on Monday while at his station in Ilupeju, where he served as the orderly to the DPO.

    A secondary school teacher in Ogun State, Lateef Olaniran, has been arrested for allegedly raping a young lady, name withheld. Olaniran, said to be a native of Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State, is a Mathematics teacher at Ebenezer Grammar School, Iberekodo, Abeokuta. He is an employee of the Ogun State Teaching Service Commission with the number, OGNO.30650. The State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Adijat Olaleye, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
