1. IntroductionUninterruptable power supplies (UPSs) are indispensable for data centres [1], hospitals [2], nuclear power plants [3] and many other services that rely on a stable energy supply in the event that a grid outage, natural disaster or any other incident occurs. This is especially true in countries that do not have access to a stable grid supply, such as India and some countries in Africa, which can see periods of extended blackouts.
