It feels like everyone is running, and that’s because – they are. Marathons are selling out in record times across Australia and an estimated 4.2 million Aussies have picked running up post-pandemic, according to government data. Only the other week, Sydney and Melbourne were named the third and fifth best cities in the world to go for a run, and later this year, the Sydney Marathon will take place as a World Major for the first time after it was bestowed the title late last year.

Behind an unassuming towering blue wall in the centre of the city, an entirely new world is taking life — and it’s one that will change the way Sydneysiders move around the city. The enormous space currently being carved out is for the brand new Metro West line, the next stage of the Sydney Metro network that will connect the CBD to Parramatta.

Ah, the 2010s. The decade that gave us Instagram, Lady Gaga’s meat dress and some of the best music of the current decade.  There’s something so sonically juicy about tracks released in this era. They’re not just distinctly jubilant, they’re also emotional and created a road map for so many songs being released today. These tracks are the soundtrack to the years that gave us everything from the Ice Bucket Challenge, Lena Dunham’s Girls and Kony 2012.

Op shopping is one of life’s greatest joys. Some days the thrifting gods are on your side and you leave with an unimaginable bounty. Often when I look down at my random assortment of goodies, I know without a doubt that I would never have been able to curate a line-up of items this good from a shopping centre. The thrift is where you find one of a kind pieces and you literally have no clue what you’re going to find. That thrill of potentially unearthing treasure is unmatched.
