This is not a review of the Sean Durkin film. We will discuss the film, its plot, themes, and historical significance, which will play a significant role in this piece, but this is not a film review. This a review of a pro wrestling fan trying to reconcile his thoughts on the film. Pro wrestling changed my life. Many fans can say similar statements, but for me, my life, my relationships, and my existence would be different if not for my fandom of the squared circle.

The calls had been persistent since the beginning. “The company is a disaster.”“They need to bring in a more experienced booker.”A particular selection of fans wanted to see a non-Vince McMahon-controlled product succeed. Fans not only wanted the company to succeed, but they wanted to see the voices they trusted running things, not these people. After all, wrestling was so much better when those voices had their say, not like today. Today is a disaster.

The Bloodline is one of the most successful storylines WWE has done in years. The narrative has played a major role in the company’s financial turnaround and, more importantly, has elevated the character of Roman Reigns from failed babyface to a generational performer. While the storyline’s success cannot be disputed, the appeal is highly subjective. To its fans, the Bloodline Saga epitomizes what makes WWE great.
