A car park in Hull city centre will temporarily close to allow work to be carried out. The Albion Street Car Park will be closed from 6pm on Wednesday, December 11 until 8 am on Friday, December 13. Alternative parking is available at the multi-story car parks on George Street, Osbourne Street and Pryme Street. In a statement issued today, the council said: "We are aware that some of our road-side digital signs are incorrectly stating that some of our car parks are closed.

Yorkshire Water is injecting £1m into New Ellerby in East Riding to combat storm discharges into Kelwell drain during bouts of heavy or sustained rainfall. Their contract partners, Peter Duffy Ltd (PDL), are set to build a 115m of new surface water sewer to stop rainfall from nearby properties and highways entering the combined sewer network; this comes alongside the installation of four new manhole chambers.
