High end dealer group H.R. Owen has added the luxury Zenvo brand to its impressive stable of manufacturer partners. The London-based retailer will be the the Danish brand’s sole dealer partner in the UK ahead of its highly anticipated Aurora hypercar, which is expected later this year. The agreement will not see any specific Zenvo franchise sites open, with the brand instead being housed at H.R. Owen’s flagship multi-marque facility in Hatfield.

New and used car dealers should be on a variety of digital marketplaces in order to ‘build trust’ with customers and maximise leads. That is according to fresh data from Motors, which has found that the average buyer visits four car search websites before sealing a deal. The result is the same as the last time the firm ran the survey, back in 2023, and up on 2021, when the average stood at 3.5 marketplaces.

Halfords has appointed a new chief executive as it reported rising revenues amid a ‘very challenging’ trading environment and rising costs from the October budget. Henry Birch, former boss of retailer Very Group, takes the post immediately to replace Graham Stapleton, Halfords’ boss of seven years. The group said like-for-like sales rose 2.3% in the year to March 28 compared with the previous year, while profit will be at the higher end of previous guidance of £32m to £37m.

Dealer group Arnold Clark has began handovers of its first Corvertte supercars after agreeing a landmark franchise deal with the American manufacturer last year. Car Dealer reported in December that Arnold Clark had agreed to represent Corvette at sites in Glasgow and Altrincham, with the franchises set to sit alongside the group’s new high end ‘Luxe’ sub-brand.

The motor trade community on the south coast has come together to raise almost £40,000 for charity via a special sale at Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA). A total of 27 retailers from across the region stepped in to donate vehicles for the charity auction with SVA added £250 to the value of every car sold. The event raised a whopping £38,000 for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice, in what was SVA’s 15 annual charity auction.
