Due to his age, the deal can only be for one year, and then Bardakov will become a Restricted Free Agent in the summer of 2026.

It looked that would be the case as Colorado held a lead going into the third period but Dallas evened the score before nearly a full extra frame was needed for Colin Blackwell to score the game winner to give Dallas the 4-3 victory and even the series 1-1.
