The hockey Gods gave Flyers fans what they wanted — and they came close to getting two things they’ve been clamoring for all season long. First, the Flyers lost 5-4 to the Buffalo Sabres and finished 5-3-1 under interim coach Brad Shaw. Although the expectation was that #Flyers goalie prospect Carson Bjarnason would join Lehigh Valley after the Wheat Kings were eliminated from the WHL playoffs, according to a team source, he is a little nicked up and instead heading to Philly to be seen by the team's doctors.

The #Flyers got “an absolute steal” in Alex Bump, Western Michigan head coach Pat Ferschweiler recently told The Inquirer. The Broncos take on Denver Thursday in the Frozen Four. https://t.co/COioFuAFl4
