    Southbound traffic on I-275 was at a standstill Friday morning after a crash with injuries on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge caused first responders to close all but one lane of traffic. The crash was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. Friday on the southern end of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. All but one southbound lane was closed as first responders worked to assess the crash. Two ambulances were seen on scene from FDOT traffic cameras.

    TAMPA, Fla. — The Bradenton family of a nine-year-old girl who nearly lost her hand in a shark attack off Boca Grande last week is speaking with the media today at Tampa General Hospital. Leah Lendel was released from the ICU Wednesday after a shark nearly bit off her hand on Wednesday, June 11 while she was swimming off Boca Grande with her family. Lendel was rushed to the hospital and later taken to TGH, where she's been recovering since the attack.

    TAMPA, Fla. — The second day of the murder trial of Ronny Walker, accused in the death of 14-year-old Tampa teen Nilexia Alexander in 2022, is underway. Alexander's mother, Ashley Alexander, took the stand for the prosecution Thursday. She explained to the court her relationship with her daughter, and detailed her communication with Nilexia the night of her death. Several more key witnesses are expected to take the stand for the prosecution Thursday. Opening statements began Wednesday.

    LAKELAND, Fla. — A Lakeland man is dead after crashing with a car on his motorcycle on North Crystal Lake Drive Wednesday night, according to Lakeland Police. Police said officers responded to the crash on North Crystal Lake Drive around 7:04 p.m. Wednesday. They found the 26-year-old motorcyclist and began life-saving measures, taking him to Lakeland Regional Health. Despite their efforts, the man died at the hospital from his injuries.
