Saharan dust has arrived and that will make for a hazy, hot and humid weekend ahead in South Florida. What this dust will do is lead to low rain chances, hot temperatures and fewer clouds, although the sky will look more milky white than blue. It will also keep air quality levels at the moderate range for most locations. For our Friday, expect more sunshine and high temperatures that will be hotter into the upper 80s to around 90F. Feels-like temperatures will hit the upper 90s to low 100s.

It sure has been a wet, soggy and gloomy week of weather so far across South Florida! More rain and storms are ahead this Wednesday at times as a large, lumbering, upper level low remains over the northeastern Gulf. This feature will continue to draw up moisture from the south and west, keeping skies mostly cloudy while leading to rounds of showers and storms. So far this morning, there have been some downpours streaming north near the coast.

More heat is ahead the rest of this Memorial Day weekend following the toasty temperatures we experienced Saturday. Numerous locations topped feels-like temperatures in the triple digits Saturday!Heading into Sunday, it will be fairly similar with generally sunny skies, although clouds will once again infiltrate the area by the mid to late afternoon hours from pop-up storms to our west.

The Memorial Day holiday weekend is here as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice to our country. The weekend overall will feature times of sunshine, other times of showers and storms and plenty of very warm and steamy conditions. Out of the three days this weekend, Sunday has the best opportunity at being dry. Regardless, plenty of dry time is ahead throughout this weekend but rain chances will be elevated both Saturday and Monday.

It sure has been a hot stretch of weather across South Florida with highs hovering near 90F over the past week paired with high humidity. It will turn even hotter midweek as a heat dome remains parked over Florida and the Gulf, but this time winds at the surface — ground level — will veer out of the southwest versus southeast. This change in the wind direction will cause temperatures to surge into the mid 90s for many mainland locations.

We're still waiting on our first 90s of the year, which is well behind schedule for Miami and Fort Lauderdale. There's a good shot we hit it soon as a heat dome builds in across Florida starting late week. 🥵🥵🥵 https://t.co/mI02zvmanU
