FAYETTEVILLE — The two teams who dueled for the final SEC West title last spring will meet this weekend inside Baum-Walker Stadium. Arkansas baseball and Texas A&M will open a key three-game series Thursday night. The No. 2 Razorbacks (33-5, 12-3 SEC) are coming off their first series loss of the season, dropping two of three games last weekend against Georgia. Still, they sit one game behind first-place Texas in the league standings.

Jackson FullerFort Smith Southwest Times RecordFAYETTEVILLE — As promised from head coach Dave Van Horn, Arkansas baseball is shaking up its weekend pitching rotation. Gage Wood will be the new game two starter for the No. 2 Razorbacks (33-5, 12-3 SEC) this weekend against Texas A&M (21-15). The junior righty has been out with a shoulder injury since Feb. 23, but he's healthy and replaces Gabe Gaeckle, who is 2-1 with a 6.69 ERA in nine starts this season.

FAYETTEVILLE — A bruised prize fighter is up off the mat with its sights set on Baum-Walker Stadium this weekend. Arkansas baseball opens a three-game series against Texas A&M on Thursday night, just as the unranked Aggies (21-15, 6-9 SEC) appear to be turning the tide on their season. The preseason No. 1 team in the country began its SEC slate 1-9, but Texas A&M has won seven straight games and rattled off a series win over Tennessee and a sweep over South Carolina in back-to-back weekends.

Arkansas basketball and John Calipari rebuilt their frontcourt through the transfer in a two-hour span. Former Florida State forward Malique Ewin committed to the Razorbacks Tuesday afternoon. He shared the decision on his social media pages. Earlier in the day, Calipari secured his first commitment of the offseason from South Carolina big man Nick Pringle. Ewin senior averaged 14.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists in just 26.2 minutes per game during his first season with the Seminoles.

Dave Van Horn says Nolan Souza won't play the rest of the weekend and could be out 'a lot longer than that' after injury vs Georgia. https://t.co/APfcppwJ1u

FINAL: No. 1 Arkansas 13, No. 7 Georgia 3. Hogs score 10 runs against the Georgia bullpen in a dominant Friday night victory. The Aloy Brothers had 3 RBIs apiece. Aiden Jimenez is very good.

I think Wehiwa Aloy got jammed there, and he still dumped a ground-rule double to RCF. Two runs score and there are still no outs in the inning. Hogs in control with an 8-3 lead over Georgia.
