We are tracking a small system of rain and snow moving through the upper Midwest which may bring rain and snow to parts of Wisconsin. While we aren't expecting much, spotty rain and flurries will be possible from Wednesday morning through Thursday afternoon. Less than a quarter inch of precipitation is expected for most of the 9 news area. After the cloudy weather moves out, we will be treated to some very nice and bright weather for the end of the week.

Today was well below average for temperature with highs only reaching around 40 degrees or so around the area. Thankfully, outside of a chilly night tonight, much milder weather will eventually return. We are still tracking 40 degree readings tomorrow, but by the weekend we should move to 60 degree high temperatures. Tuesday: Sunny to partly cloudy and a little milder. Wednesday: Mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain showers, possibly mixed with a little snow.

While temperatures will be running a few degrees below average this weekend, we finally have a weekend without any messy rain and snow. High temperatures are expected to sit in the mid 40s with a mix of sunshine and clouds. There is a small chance of light snow late Sunday night as we head into a chilly Monday. Next week will begin cool, but likely turn much warmer later on. Overnight: Mostly cloudy with a slight chance of spotty rain or snow showers, mainly north of Wausau.

Today was back to normal with temperatures rising to the mid 40s across the central part of the state. While this still isn't too warm, we should be a few degrees warmer tomorrow. Cloud cover will still remain Friday but we should see high temps rise to the 50s. Heading into the weekend, we fall back into the 40s and have a small chance for precipitation. Not much is headed our way, but we could see scattered drizzle or flakes and flurries. Tonight: A few scattered clouds with patchy fog possible.

A few more showers and storms are expected tonight, but most of or messy winter system should be clearing shortly. The severe weather risk has died down due to cooler than expected temperatures and Thursday and Friday look much drier. Still, we will likely have more cloud cover than sunshine. For those looking to get out this weekend, temperatures will be a little cooler than average and we may have some passing drizzle. Most of the weekend though should be dry.
