Southeast of Saline rolled to 9-0 on the season in their first-round playoff victory, defeating Larned 76-12 on Friday night. The Indians would strike first on a long touchdown pass, but from there it would be all Trojans, all the time. Southeast would score the final 70 points of the first half, and the next 76 points of the game, quickly removing Larned’s hopes for an upset. Southeast would tally 215 passing yards, and an impressive 335 rushing yards in the win.

The Salina Central Mustangs’ season came to an end on Friday night, falling on the road to the Maize South Mavericks 56-35. The Mustangs entered the game at 4-4 on the season, as the #10 seed in the Class 5A West Bracket. The Maize South Mavericks were the #7 seed, posting a record on 5-3 entering the playoffs. Maize South scored on its opening possession, capping off an eight play drive with a touchdown pass from QB Tate McNew to WR Alex Singateh.

The Salina South Cougars fell in their regular season finale on Friday night, as the Maize Eagles commanded a 57-0 win. The Cougars opened the game by controlling possession of the football, with the offense holding possesion for nearly 10:30 minutes in the opening quarter. Despite limited opportunities, Maize took advantage of two big plays early to grab the game’s first score, a 4-yard touchdown run by RB Shannon Jones.

The Salina Central Mustangs got back to their winning ways on Friday night, defeating the Newton Railers 57-7. Salina Central (3-2) ran the ball with ease on the night, rushing for over 300 yards as a team behind their big offensive line. Junior Running Back Cooper Reves rushed for over 100-yards for the second-straight game, tallying nearly 190 yards on just nine carries, scoring a pair of touchdowns in the effort.
