    Before the start of the NHL season, it was announced that Sam Rosen, the play-by-play voice for the New York Rangers for the last 40 years, would be retiring at the end of the 2024-25 season. One of the many reasons Rosen has become so beloved is that he grew up a Rangers fan. Rosen was raised in Brooklyn, NY and as a young kid was always listening to either Yankees, Giants, or Rangers games on the radio.

    Chelsea's January 2025 transfer strategy of letting player go on loan while not bringing in anyone to replace them leaves a lot to be desired. In this latest piece I talk about why it's such a bad move especially when you consider Chelsea's recent poor form. Monday, February 3rd marked the end of the winter transfer window, during which teams could sign, sell, and loan players throughout January.

    On Thursday (Nov. 28) Chelsea will take on Bundesliga side Heidenheim in their fourth Europa Conference League match. So far the Blues have rolled with relative ease through this competition, winning their first three games (excluding the playoffs) and outscoring their opponents 13-3. Today, the traveling squad of the 21 players who are available tomorrow was released on the Chelsea website.

    FOOTBALL — The Blue Devils were trounced at homecoming on Oct. 18 by Putnam Valley, 35-6. Haldane’s only score came in the second quarter on a 21-yard pass from David Powlis to Jake Thomas. Powlis completed 3 of 10 passes for 63 yards, all to Thomas; as a team, Haldane had 54 yards rushing. The Blue Devils (3-3) will host Hastings at 2 p.m. on Saturday (Oct. 26). VOLLEYBALL — The Blue Devils lost twice at home by 3-0 scores, on Oct. 18 to Croton-Harmon and on Monday (Oct. 21) to Putnam Valley.
