Adetunji Adeleye, the Commander of the Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps), has explained that the biggest challenge the local security outfit is confronted with is the clashes between farmers and herders in the State. Adeleye, who said this on Sunday in Akure, however, noted that the mass education and enlightenment initiated by the security outfit between the herders and farmers had helped in ending the clashes and reducing food insecurity in the State.

The Ondo State Football Association (ODSFA) has urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to ensure that administrators with sporting backgrounds are henceforth appointed to hold leadership positions in the sports sector in the state. No fewer than twenty-one inmates from the Correctional Centre, Ondo State Command have been empowered and trained in different vocational skills such as tailoring, hairdressing, plumping, welding, electronics and electrical works, barbing, shoe making and others. Jude Agboje, the Controller of Corrections, Ondo State Command, congratulated the inmates on their graduation and admonished them to make good use of what they learnt while in incarceration.

Samuel Akintunde, the acting vice chancellor of the Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo State, has disclosed how the university is spending over N26million monthly on electricity. Akintunde, who disclosed this on Monday at a press conference, convened to formally announce the 61st Foundation Day and the 35th Convocation Ceremony of the university said that funding was the major challenge the university was facing.
