When Bandai Namco and Dimps released Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 back in 2016, fans most likely thought it was only going to stick around for a couple of years or so, maybe three at the most. It was already a little surprising that Dragon Ball Xenoverse got a sequel at all, and the franchise's next big fighter, Dragon Ball FighterZ, was already on the way.

With how legendary The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion became in the years since its initial release in 2006, any remaster would have been a guaranteed success. Virtuous and Bethesda Game Studios knocked it out of the park with The The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered,however, and not just because of the fantastic visual makeover accomplished via Unreal Engine 5.

For a long time now, local split-screen multiplayer games have been something of a dying breed. Be it because of the internet being almost all-encompassing now or people just hanging out in person less often, these sorts of games, at least in the AAA space, aren’t made as much. However, as Devolver Digital and Peculiar Pixels have shown today in revealing BOTSU, the genre, thankfully, isn’t dead yet.
