ANAHEIM – The Angels signed veteran infielder Nicky Lopez to a one-year, $850,000 contract, the team announced Tuesday, amid a slew of roster moves leading up to Opening Day. Lopez, 30, has played six seasons in the big leagues, mostly for the Royals, who drafted him in the fifth round in 2016. Lopez spent 2024 with the White Sox, slashing .241/.312/.294 with one home run in 124 games.
