The Bears finish up their draft addressing the one position many thought they would consider trading up in Round 1 to fix. Instead, a couple of trade-backs have helped them stack up on Day 3 draft capital, acquire a fourth-round pick back for the 2026 draft, and now, they’ve acquired a running back.

A four-year starter over the course of his collegiate career, Newman started from 2021 to 2023 at Holy Cross, serving as their primary left tackle. He was a three-time first-team All-Patriot League player and a two-time FCS All-American.
