The hacker behind Cork Protocol’s $12 million exploit has sent $11 million worth of stolen ether (ETH) through Tornado Cash and donated $24,000 to the legal fund of the crypto mixer’s founder. Crypto security firm PeckShield claimed the exploiter has transferred 4,520 ETH to Tornado Cash so far. Earlier today, they sent 1,410 ETH, worth almost $3.4 million, to the mixer.

Crypto sleuth ZachXBT has revealed how a part-time furry turned scammer stole over $4 million from Coinbase users by posing as customer support staff for the exchange. Christian Nieves reportedly ran a call centre group that tricked Coinbase users into setting up wallets with compromised seed passwords. ZachXBT shared footage of one elderly victim losing over $240,000 to the scammers.

Pro-Israel hackers behind the theft of $90 million from Iran’s largest crypto exchange, Nobitex, have threatened to target more Iranian institutions and warned citizens to withdraw their funds. Known as Gonjeshke Darande, or “Predatory Sparrow,” the hackers announced on X last Friday that they’re looking to target any institutions supporting Iran’s military forces. “Some of them will be destroyed with intense force; others will just disappear right before your very eyes,” it said.

World, the Sam Altman-owned iris scanning firm, is reportedly in talks with Reddit about introducing the eyeball-based World ID system on the social platform. As reported by Semafor, sources familiar with the dealings say that World ID may be coming to Reddit soon. This ID, when verified using someone’s eyeballs, supposedly certifies them as a “unique human.”World also goes by the name World Network and rebranded from Worldcoin last year.
