Celsius founder Alex Mashinsky will reportedly see out his 12-year prison sentence in a facility that was once described by Forbes as “Bernie Madoff’s desired retirement home.”The FCI Otisville facility, located in the State of New York, is divided into a minimum security camp and a medium security prison. Judge John Koeltl sentenced Mashinsky for fraud relating to the manipulation of Celsius’s token and recommended that he go to the FCI Otisville Camp.

Jeffy Yu, the Zerebro co-founder who faked his own suicide before exploiting the ensuing controversy to launch a legacy-themed crypto token, has been found alive at his parents’ house in San Francisco. Yu apparently killed himself on a Pump Fun live stream, shortly after he published a manifesto on the concept of “Legacoins” — a term he created for a new type of memecoin that would somehow enshrine a dead person’s crypto holdings.

Celsius founder Alex Mashinsky has been sentenced to 12 years for his role in Celsius’ token manipulation, but won’t be imprisoned until after his daughter’s wedding. That’s according to coverage from Matthew Russell Lee, representing Inner City Press. Judge Koeltl sentenced Mashinsky and ordered him to forfeit $48 million and nine properties. Before the sentencing, Lee reported that Judge Koeltl agreed to let Mashinsky go to Tennessee later this month to attend his daughter’s wedding in Memphis.

Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao has revealed that he is officially angling for a presidential pardon, despite shooting down previous reports of negotiations with the Donald Trump administration. In an interview with Rug Radio this week, Zhao claimed that his lawyers only applied for a pardon application two weeks ago, after Bloomberg and the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) wrote about a potential deal.
