The Somerset Lady Jumpers were attempting to bounce back from four-straight losses on Thursday as they welcomed in the Lady Colonels of Whitley County. There wasn’t a ton of offense in this one, but luckily for the Jumpers they didn’t need a ton, as sophomore pitcher Reagan Childers shined on the mound in a 4-0 shutout victory for Somerset.

The Southwestern Warriors hosted the annual Southwestern All-Comers track meet on Thursday evening, with the Warriors and the Somerset Briar Jumpers competing. On the boys' side, Somerset finished third as a team while Southwestern finished in a tie for sixth. The hosting Warriors won the girls' side as a team, with Somerset placing sixth. Somerset's Tyson Absher won the boys' 100m dash, finishing with a time of 11.37.

The Somerset Lady Jumpers were back at home on Tuesday, looking to split their district series against the Casey County Lady Rebels. The Jumpers got out to a 2-0 lead after the first two innings, but unfortunately couldn't manage to keep that lead as they were outscored 5-0 over the next five innings en route to a 5-2 loss to the Rebels. Maci Huff had the lone RBI for the Jumpers, with Reagan Childers managing three hits.

The Pulaski County Maroons and Somerset Briar Jumpers traveled to Boyle County to compete in their All-Comers meet on Tuesday evening. On the boys' side, Somerset finished eighth and Pulaski placed 11th out of 16 teams. For the girls, Pulaski finished seventh and Somerset placed 14th out of 16 teams. In the boys' 100m dash, Pulaski's Kasen Brock finished 21st with a time of 12.10.

Playing for the first time since before Spring Break, the Pulaski County Lady Maroons welcomed in the Rockcastle County Lady Rockets for the first game of a key district series on Monday evening. In what was setting up to be a pitching duel, the Maroons went into the seventh inning ahead 1-0 before the Rockets scored four runs in their half of the inning.
