The Somerset Lady Jumpers were hoping to snap a three-game skid on Monday evening at home as they welcomed in one of the top teams from the 13th Region in the South Laurel Lady Cardinals. The Jumpers weren't able to contain the hitting of the Cards as the visitors scored at least one run in every inning as Somerset fell 13-3 in five innings of action. Addy White led the way in the loss with two RBI's and a home run, with Blair Pyles adding one RBI.

The Southwestern Lady Warriors were back at the War Path on Friday to take on the Lady Patriots of Lincoln County. In what was a strong performance on both sides of the plate, the Warriors scored at least one run in all five innings in a 10-0 shutout victory. Brynn Troxell and Arabella Lowery each had two RBI's to help lead the way for the Warriors, with Abigail Whitescarver adding one RBI on a solo home run.

LEBANON - The Southwestern Warrior boys' volleyball team were able to sweep their way over John Hardin and hosting Marion County on Friday to advance to Saturday morning's 2nd Region Tournament championship game against powerhouse West Jessamine. With the first-ever regional volleyball crown (at least one sanctioned by the KHSAA) hanging in the balance, strong frontline hitting by the Colts doomed the Warriors as they ultimately fell to West Jessamine in a 3-0 sweep (25-19, 25-19, 25-16).

The Southwestern Warriors and Somerset Briar Jumpers traveled to Williamsburg on Friday to take part in the Gold Medal Meet. For the girls' side, Southwestern took home first place while Somerset finished in a tie for 13th. For the boys, Southwestern was 12th while Somerset was 14th. In the boys' 100m dash, Southwestern's Jaden Larcomb finished 10th with a time of 12.05, while Somerset's Jackson Burgess finished 13th with a time of 12.12. kAmx?

Weather forced the cancellation of several local softball and baseball games on Thursday evening. That didn't stop the Somerset Lady Jumper softball team from breaking out some dance moves during a weather delay however. Players pictured include from left Aleah Wesley, Maci Huff, Kylie Spencer, Emry Pyles, Blair Pyles and Aubrianna Wooldridge.
