Novel In-Office Procedure for Retinal Detachment In this issue of JAMA Ophthalmology, Muni and colleagues1 report on a novel in-office procedure for the repair of acute rhegmatogenous retinal detachments (RRDs), which involves the injection of a viscoelastic agent into the suprachoroidal space to achieve an internal buckling effect. The authors named the procedure suprachoroidal viscopexy (SCVEXY).
