ABOUT half a million credit cards have been cancelled in the United States this month. The move comes as part of an initiative from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). DOGE, notably headed by billionaire Elon Musk, was established after President Donald Trump took office in January. Its mission has been to reduce the "bloated" size of the federal government, and actions have already been taken to that effect through mass layoffs and other cost-cutting measures.

COSTCO staffers have revealed the top annoyances they experience on a day-to-day basis. While member interactions are typically a positive experience, some have cited difficulties at the warehouse retail giant over the years. Some intense stories and top pet peeves were divulged by several Costco workers in a recent and lengthy Reddit thread. On top of the list, as one of the most annoying, pertained to members leaving merchandise where it shouldn't be in and around the store.

All required regulatory approvals were received, and the transaction is expected to be finalized on May 18, per a press release.
