On Monday, October 7, Juan Manuel Sánchez Rosales was appointed as the new head of the Secretariat of Public Security and Citizen Protection of Tijuana (SSPPCT); he is a professional with extensive work experience in the area and is looking to generate positive change in the city. By a majority vote, the councilors of the City Council of the 25th City Hall of Tijuana voted for and chose Juan Manuel Sánchez, the first option proposed by the municipal president of Tijuana, Ismael Burgueño.

"En Baja Se Pasa la Cheve" is an initiative whose goal is to put the best Baja Californian breweries in the national landscape. For its 2024 edition, 17 breweries will participate at "Expo Cerveza México" which will take place from October 25 to October 27 in Mexico City. Breweries selected will be attempting to win medals in sought after and contested categories due to their complexity, especially IPA and India Pale Ale.
