ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS — The New Jersey Forest Fire Service issued an update on its efforts to contain the wildfire on the Palisades in Englewood Cliffs at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The fire burning across 39 acres is 40% contained, reads a social media post by the Forest Fire Service. On Friday, about 30% of the fire had been contained across the same 39 acres, the fire service said. A Forest Fire Service helicopter capable of dropping 350 gallons of water worked the fire Friday morning.
