    We got a sorta interesting ranking in a recent traffic survey here in Portland. According to research, our traffic lasts a long time. We have 6 ½ hours of rush hour here, which is the 4th worst in the nation, behind LA, DC, & Seattle, BUT, we seem to handle it pretty well, because our average commute time is one of the best in the nation. I guess we’re good at traffic? Another eclipse is happening tonight in our skies, and there’s a reason I’m telling you about it.

    If you’re hoping to shoplift, might want to avoid Washington Co. for awhile. The County has just been given a grant of a million and a half dollars to combat retail theft, and just this weekend, Tigard Police Department scooped up 21 people shoplifting at various stores, so unless you’re a pro like that dude from Can’t Hardly Wait, move it on down the road.

    US Bank is leaving the US Bank tower in downtown. Big Pink, as most people know it, is gonna be looking for a new name pretty soon as US Bank is moving a bulk of its workforce to other offices downtown, as well as to the US Bank office in Gresham. Excited to see what the new name will be, but you know it’s gonna be Moda Tower or something.

    Despite both teams winning their home openers this weekend, the future is a little less sure for your Oregon State Beavers. You know the Pac-12 is only two teams this year, and they’ve just announced that they may not be playing the Mountain West conference next year either. Yikes, I don’t know, OSU and WSU might be playing Central Catholic next year. Two Sauvie Island corn mazes have been revealed, both with a nice message.

    2 days without cell phones, and the students are already saying, “noooo thank you.”  Grant High School has adopted the little lockable pouches where students carry their phone with them, but can’t use it, and students have already started a petition to get rid of them, which has 1,000 signatures already. Who would have thought this would be unpopular? As of 8:00 this morning, the new Costco in Ridgefield is open, and you can bet there’ll be traffic.
