Welcome back for another Playbook and today's NHL DFS picks! We have a nice, crisp five-game slate to tackle. I love these smaller slates because they force you to really dig deep for value. Picking an elite player is easy, but finding a value play that hits? Now that’s a task. As always, we must ensure we are getting our goalie pick correct. On a small slate, there is no room for error. We need to get it right so we can have a chance of sniffing a GPP win.

I have a love/hate relationship with end-of-week reviews. Their benefits are clear: Reaffirming plans and goals Assessing progress and preparing adjustments Clearing your runway for a successful week ahead But they come with drawbacks: They eat into weekend time better spent on key objectives or with loved ones. For serial procrastinators and over-analyzers like me, they can become time-sinks or distractions.

Today I found 3 interesting storytelling prompts via this Twitter thread from Dickie Bush, sourced from Matthew Dicks's book Storyworthy. While the prompts seem valuable for generating ideas, I can't personally endorse them - having not tried them myself. Why not? I'm not great at following simple instructions. Or as my wife more kindly puts it, I "have trouble working with other people's frameworks."But I'm also not a fan of writing autobiographically for public distribution.
