Magistrate Judge William Porter ruled there is enough evidence to prove probable cause in order to keep Henrry Josue Villatoro Santos in custody pending future court action. The man DOJ says is top MS-13 leader on the east coast.

More from Judge Bredar: “This is murky. The court has the responsibility to wade into the swamp here.” However, he reiterates his reluctance. There are “profound implications”… “I’m sensitive to the issue that judges should not go beyond” the power they have been given.

Judge Boasberg said the government isn’t being “forthcoming.” But said he will “get to the bottom” of if they complied with his order and if not, who violated the order, and what the consequences would be.
