Label: Shrimptech EnterprisesReleased: 25th April 2025‘Man Made of Meat’, the first single from Swedish nonsense-punks Viagra Boys’ fourth album ‘viagr aboys’, includes: a mention of Chandler Bing, frontman Sebastian Murphy burping into the mic, and at least one mention of goblins. So far, so Viagra Boys. Follow-up single ‘Uno II’ was the first hint that things might be a little bit different this time around.

It's 6pm on a Wednesday and, against our better judgement, we're drinking a mix of Murphy's stout and champagne, served to us in a silver tankard. The venue is The Newman Arms, a historic pub in Fitzrovia which has managed to avoid the glammed-up fate of so many soulless central London boozers, and the 'Black Velvet' we're about to drink is a nod to Winston Churchill, who allegedly loved them.

La Môme, settling into The Berkeley hotel (via partner restaurants in Cannes and Monaco), isn't one to buck expectations in this regard. A huge 200-plus cover restaurant with art deco touches, personalised 'La Môme' plates, and more wagyu than you can shake a stick at - so far, so Knightsbridge.

FORWARDS Festival have announced their 2025 headliners, with Barry Can’t Swim and Ezra Collective set to co-headline the Saturday night, while Doechii, Jorja Smith and The Last Dinner Party will share headlining duties on Sunday. Taking place across the weekend of 23rd and 24th August at Clifton Downs, Bristol, the lineup also features performances from Confidence Man, Orbital, Olivia Dean, Mount Kimbie, English Teacher, Happy Mondays, and Katy J Pearson.
