The London Overground is blocked because of technical difficulties today (Sunday, April 20). Trains between Richmond, Clapham Junction and Stratford are being cancelled, delayed up to 30 minutes or revised. TfL says there are severe delays on the Mildmay line between Camden Road and Hackney Central. The disruption is due to a failure of the overhead line equipment between Canonbury and Stratford. Disruption is expected to last until 12pm.

It's easy to forget that in London you are living in one of the world's premier cities, filled with some of the finest talent around. Richmond Bridge Boathouse is a microcosm of this in a relatively niche but totally beautiful way - building traditional wooden row boats and hiring them out.

When you think kebab, it's not often that you associate it with luxury. Perhaps your mind is cast to chilly pavements on idiotic nights out shovelling salty strips of meat and pita into your drunken mouth while slurring your words between overfilled bins. It's completely the opposite story at Dawat Pakistani restaurant on Tooting High Street. I missed the place at first walking down the road.

A fire in Cockfoster, North London, has closed a main road in the area. Bramley Road has been shut in both directions from Cockfosters Road to Westpole Avenue, near Oakwood Tube station. Fire services are at the scene, according to traffic analyst service Inrix. Two London bus services have been diverted too - the 299 and the 301. MyLondon has contacted the London Fire Brigade for further information.
