The family of an innocent 21-year-old student who was shot and stabbed to death while cycling home after watching a football match have appealed for the public’s help to get justice. Ola Raji was attacked and killed in Peckham on the night of Tuesday, April 21, 2015, a decade ago today. Ola had spent the evening at a friend’s house watching a Champions League football match between Bayern Munich and Porto.

His Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is due to stop Child Benefit for some parents this summer, even if their child is still in education or training. Child Benefit stops on the August 31 on or after your child’s 16th birthday if they leave education or training. However, Child Benefit continues up to age 20 if your child stays in certain types of approved education or training but some common types are excluded from this.

A massive fire has broken out in Aldgate in the City of London this afternoon (Sunday, April 20). 100 firefighters are currently battling the blaze in a fifth-floor flat on Leman Street which started at 5.43pm. The fire has also spread to part of a second flat on the seventh floor. The cause of the fire is not yet known. One of the Brigade's 64-metre turntable ladders is being used as an observation tower, providing a vantage point for incident commanders to assess the incident.

A 45-year-old woman was stabbed to death at home in Enfield yesterday evening (Saturday, April 19). Police rushed to the scene in Ayley Croft following reports of a stabbing. Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, who treated the woman. Sadly, despite their best efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made in connection with the killing yet but police have launched a murder investigation.
