    PLEASANT HILL, La. (KALB) - The National Weather Service has confirmed at least two tornadoes that were formed due to Beryl. Beryl exceeded expectations over the Atlantic, and even over land after making landfall near Matagorda, Texas, early Monday morning. Many sections of Beryl's rain bands begin rotating, prompting many tornado warnings across Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas.

    ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - Beryl made landfall this morning near Matagorda, TX as a category 1 hurricane. The eye of the storm will stay just to the west of Cenla, putting us at risk for heavy rainfall, flash flooding and even the potential for a few tornadoes. Monday and Monday night are when the greatest impacts will be felt in Cenla. The SPC has upgraded the severe threat for our northwestern parishes in their overnight update.

The eye of the storm will stay just to the west of CENLA, putting us at risk for heavy rainfall, flash flooding, and even the potential for a few tornadoes. Monday and early Tuesday is when the greatest impacts will be felt in CENLA.

    UNION HILL, La. (KALB) - The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has concluded their storm survey in Rapides Parish, LA, confirming an EF-1 tornado touched down during Thursday night’s storms. The tornado traveled approximately 4.18 miles during its 6 minute stint on the ground. The tornado reached a width of 50 yards and produced peak wind speeds of 100 mph. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
