The latest video update is in rotation on our 24/7 Weather Channel. The Storm Prediction Center has included most of Cenla in a MARGINAL risk for severe weather, which is a level 1 out of 5 on the severity scale. There is a SLIGHT risk for our northern parishes, shaded in yellow.

    RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB) - The National Weather Service in Shreveport and Lake Charles have concluded their storm surveys in Rapides and Grant Parishes to determine the type of damage caused by Monday morning’s storms. The National Weather Service in Shreveport has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in the community of Bentley (Grant Parish) on May 26 around 11:03 a.m.The tornado traveled approximately 3.6 miles in its five minutes on the ground.

    ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) - After reviewing the latest forecast data, the First Alert Weather Team has declared Tuesday, May 6, and Wednesday, May 7, FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAYS. As of Monday evening, the Weather Prediction Center has UPGRADED the local flood risk to a MODERATE RISK (level 3 out of 4) for portions of Cenla.
