    Colts Neck High School lost to Steinert High School 6-0 in the sectional final. Colts Neck held its own for five innings before defensive errors led to Steinert scoring six runs in the sixth inning. HAMILTON -- For five innings, Colts Neck softball went toe-to-toe with back-to-back state champion Steinert. The Cougars stared down at their opportunity for a momentous upset as the scoreless stalemate reached the sixth. The Cougars finally blinked.

Always an exciting day when I get to present the All-Shore softball team! The field of athletes is astounding and it’s a mind boggling exercise to narrow it down. So many worthy players and only 43 spots. Congratulations to those who made it. Truly the best of the best!
