A furious Max Verstappen has explained his lack of answers in the aftermath of the penalty he received in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Pole-sitter Verstappen was handed a five-second time penalty for cutting Turn 1 and gaining an advantage over Oscar Piastri, with whom he shared the front-row. Red Bull boss Christian Horner provided what he claimed was photographic evidence of Verstappen being ahead at the apex, with the penalty being served at his sole pit-stop.

Christian Horner has provided what he feels is photographic evidence after Max Verstappen's five-second time penalty in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was the wrong decision. Verstappen was beaten off pole to the Turn 1 apex by front-row partner Oscar Piastri, with the Red Bull cutting across the run-off but maintaining the position. For this, Verstappen was handed a five-second time penalty, which ultimately cost him the race, as he finished 2.7s behind the Australian.

Max Verstappen has avoided a further penalty from F1 stewards after the controversial Turn 1 incident involving Oscar Piastri at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Verstappen was handed a five-second time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage at the opening chicane after he felt Piastri forced him off on the first lap. Verstappen cut across the run-off at the second corner after finding Piastri on his inside, with both drivers having made strong launches off the line.

The two will be duelling for the race win, with Piastri aiming for back-to-back victories while Verstappen looks to keep himself in the title fight conversation.

Fernando Alonso has issued a plea for fresh upgrades from Aston Martin after "running out of ideas" at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Alonso qualified 13th fastest in Jeddah as he chases his first points of the season in what has been a difficult start for Aston Martin. Although Lance Stroll scored in Australia and China, the triple-header is yet to yield rewards.

The interesting thing about the Apollo 13 service module explosion is that it happened at exactly the right time in the mission if it was going to. Any earlier, Lovell, Swigert, and Haise couldn’t have survived free-return, and in lunar orbit or after TEI, it would be curtains.

55 years ago today, Apollo 13 launched on the third planned mission to land humans on the Moon. An explosion in an oxygen tank seriously damaged the spacecraft, requiring the astronauts to circle the Moon and return to Earth without a lunar landing: https://t.co/2uKs5lmdaI https://t.co/J9aM2S3due

Really sad to hear of Jon Edwards' passing. He was a really big help to me as a young reporter covering NASCAR and we had some good laughs about how bad our fantasy football teams were doing. Thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP.
