Score early, hold on for absolute dear life. Credit goes to Aroldis Chapman for taking down the revenge at-bat for Bobby Dalbec—that looked weird seeing him in another uniform. Dalbec striking out felt like a little bit of poetry.

They’re playing .500 ball despite a number of unusually poor individual performances, signaling that things could turn around if certain things occur, leading to the break-out of this middling slump. I’m less inclined to agree with this point of view. This team is FULL of talent.

Lots of wasted chances, the throwing error that led to the Blue Jays’ go-ahead run in the 8th inning—and frankly the defense this season in general still—it’s been awful to watch. It felt like each team was handing the other the W until finally it the Jays said no givesies backsies. Almost fitting the game ended on a rough defensive play like that.
