Considerable courage was on display opening night, as a talented cast sang and danced their way into the audience’s hearts. It takes real bravery for a youth actor to get on stage, especially when portraying the grief of losing a loved one, as Alice must undergo in the thoughtful musical “Alice by Heart.” This portrayal of grieving is made even more poignant in the case of this show as we learn from the program that the play is dedicated to Casper Miller, a youth actor who died recently.
