I didn't realise a criminal empire would lead to so many early mornings. Yet, here I am, waking up at 7 am every morning and skateboarding around my regulars, making sure they've got enough stuff to get them through the day.

Den of Wolves makes me feel like I'm drowning. In my brief hands-on demo of the upcoming sci-fi heist game, I found that when the enemies start to push from every direction, the best you can do is huddle close to your teammates and try to stay alive. First, a confession. I haven't sent a newsletter in a couple of weeks, sorry. Frankly, my mental health has been a bit shit and with a trip to Tokyo and then GDC I just needed a bit of time to get my head straight. I wrote a newsletter, but it didn't feel like it hit the quality bar and I didn't have time to polish it up, so I just didn't send it. You might see it live on later, but I'll never tell which one it was. Thanks for your patience, either way.

Urban Dead, the browser-based MMO that nearly got me kicked out of college, is shutting down this week after 19 years, 8 months and 11 days. The MMO, which put players in control of either survivors or zombies in the fictionalised city of Malton, played out in real time, with players given one "tick" of activity every 30 minutes.

Wrote about Siege X, which should have just been a full sequel. https://t.co/79tuLcybBy

Lots of excuses around Musk's salute bouncing around but I'm autistic and pretty awkward but I still manage to get through my day without throwing up a fascist salute in front of a crowd of people.
