BEND, Ore -- Saturday was a night to remember for prom-goers across the High Desert. The first-ever Permission to Dance Prom was held for those with special needs was held at the Riverhouse Lodge. “Anytime you do a first annual it can be difficult, people don’t really understand. But we got a lot of support,” said Todd Shields of the prom committee. There were more than 60 dancers at the event, ranging from 14 to 34 years old.
