    Pernod Ricard has reported a larger than expected decline in sales in its fiscal third-quarter. Sales in the three months ended 31 March fell organically by 3% to €2.3bn. Analysts had predicted a 2% decline. Over the year-to-date, sales slid organically by 4%, meanwhile.

    Heineken has hailed the performance of its Cruzcampo, Inch’s and Murphy’s brands for helping it offset wider volume declines across beer and cider in the UK. Reporting financial results for the three months ended 31 March 2025, Heineken said its beer and cider volumes in the UK declined by “a low-single digit”.

    Nescafé has continued its expansion into iced coffee, adding a trio of liquid coffee concentrates for making cold drinks at home. Nescafé Espresso Concentrated is to roll out in Tesco from this month in Vanilla, Caramel and Classic (rsp: £4.99/500ml). Each bottle contains 16 servings. The NPD would “revolutionise how iced coffee is prepared at home” said Nescafé.

    Challenger beer brand Prime Time has fallen foul of the ASA over health claims made in its debut OOH campaign. The campaign, which rolled out across 250 sites in London last November, made the claim that Prime Time was “beer, but better” contained “63% fewer carbs” and offered “next level taste,” while being “easy on the waist”. It also sought to entice customers with the strapline “and at 4.2% abv, why wouldn’t you?”.

    Refreshed cans and bottles of Old Jamaica ginger beer have hit shelves across the UK. The rebrand – which follows a marketing campaign in which owner Beliv Company pretended to “retire” the brand last year – would help Old Jamaica appeal to “the next generation of ginger beer drinkers” predicted global director Alfonso Haces. “Old Jamaica has real heritage and there’s a good deal of affection for the brand,” said Hace. “But even icons need a refresh.
