The City of Janesville, WI, ordered two C65 microturbines, one C200S microturbine, and a Vergent controller from Vergent Power, a regional distributor of Capstone Green Energy (Capstone). With Capstone’s microturbines currently installed, Janesville placed a follow-up order to improve its wastewater treatment facility and increase on-site generation capacity to 460 kW.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) installed, commissioned, and kick-started a CO2-capture pilot plant at Kansai Electric Power’s (KEPCO) Himeji no. 2 power station in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Using MHI’s Kansai Mitsubishi Carbon Dioxide Recovery process (KM CDR), the pilot will extract CO2 from Himeji’s gas turbine-produced flue stream, allowing MHI to conduct additional research and development for carbon-capture technologies.

Qatar Airways submitted the largest widebody engine order in GE Aerospace’s history during President Trump’s visit to Doha, Qatar: Over 400 engines will be supplied, including 60 GE9X engines, 260 GEnx engines, and additional options and spare units. The order, comprised of two separate deals, also includes maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) service agreements for the supplied engines.

The Province of Ontario and Ontario Power Generation approved the construction phase for GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy’s BWRX-300 small modular reactor at OPG’s Darlington site. Completion is expected by 2030, with three additional SMRs planned for future installation at this location.
