It was a bolt of good luck for the former executives for Cognizant Technology Solutions, who had denied wrongdoing. The case had been dragging on for six years. Within two months, a new top prosecutor appointed by Trump dropped it.

The U.S. Supreme Court on Thursday ordered President Donald Trump’s administration to facilitate the return of a Salvadoran man, Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was deported in error despite a court order protecting him from removal to El Salvador. The high court’s unsigned decision backed an earlier ruling by U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, who had directed the government to “facilitate and effectuate” the return of Abrego Garcia.

The Kalamaria line opening has been moved to February 2026 with the main line to temporarily shut for final works. The opening of five new Thessaloniki metro stations in the direction of Kalamaria, southeast of the downtown area, has been pushed back, with the launch now scheduled for February 2026. “By February 2026, five additional stations of the Thessaloniki metro will be operational,” said Infrastructure and Transport Minister Christos Dimas earlier this week.
