After a nationwide search, a squad of First Nations men and women aged 18-30 will take on the life-changing challenge of running the New York City marathon in November. The 2025 Indigenous Marathon Project team are in Canberra as part of their marathon preparation and will run the Mother's Day Classic 10km at Lake Burley Griffin on Sunday.
