Manchester United have been given a lift in their pursuit of James McAtee as he has been left out of the Manchester City squad for the Club World Cup, though at least two Premier League rivals could provide them with competition for the star. McAtee finished the campaign with seven goals in 27 appearances for Man City. The attacking midfielder is rated highly at the Etihad but has not been able to force his way into Pep Guardiola’s starting line-up.

Chelsea have three targets in mind as they look to bolster the left wing position after signing Liam Delap, with a journalist detailing the blockbuster summer being planned at Stamford Bridge. Delap is currently undergoing a medical ahead of officially joining Chelsea from Ipswich Town. Manchester United have entered discussions for Serie A star Oumar Solet, according to reports, and an agent has discussed his current club completing a quickfire sale this summer. Solet is a 25-year-old centre-back who came through the Stade Lavallois academy before joining Lyon in 2018. He only made four senior appearances for Lyon before joining Red Bull Salzburg in summer 2020.
