I've been going to F45 for over a year now, and it has completely changed my workout routine. I go almost every day, and I love it. I also love data and tracking my progression, so when they announced a Strava integration in 2024, I was very excited to use it. I wear the Lionheart monitor every time I go to track my heart rate and calories burned, and I love that it syncs to Strava so I can see my workouts in one place combined with my other exercises.

Whenever I start a new project, one of the first things I do is put in place a code linter. For the uninitiated, linters analyze your project and call out potential issues. They can provide guidance on everything from how much spacing is used between lines to specific implementation details, such as restricting the usage of certain patterns and habits. You can take these tools one step further by making them part of your CICD workflow, so your build fails if it detects non-compliant code.

This past week I attended the 2024 Figma Config conference. The conference was held in person in San Francisco, California, at the Moscone Convention Center and was a great opportunity to learn more about Figma and how other teams in the industry manage their design systems. The ticket came with swag, including a Figma-branded notepad, bottle, pen, and a tote bag. A magazine was also included that discussed design trends and artificial intelligence.

I used to play a lot of Half-Life back in the day. I remember spending hours on all the mods available, such as Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat, and I even ran a few servers for me and my friends to play together. I played with all the various custom maps and mods available back then and remember having a blast doing so. I recently decided to revisit the game and wondered what it would take to set up a server with modern techniques using the Half-Life Dedicated Server client and Docker.
