In 2021 the club was revived after the pandemic and has been running continuously since. The cycling club is a small group, consisting of only about 10 members, but that does not stop them from feeling like a community, Waco senior and Baylor Cycling Club President Logan Smith said.

The club encourages students to apply what they are studying into real world projects. The club has close to 50 members, with majors ranging from engineering to astrophysics.

By James Laird | ReporterBaylor sustainability efforts are a part of the university's strategic plan and hopes to integrate Christian stewardship of the planet into its green initiatives. Notable green initiatives recently have included composting 270,000 pounds of food waste from the dining halls and achieving Tree Campus USA certification. Baylor also supports green community initiatives like the Waco Creek Cleanup and hosts events like the Green Communities Conference.

The club organizes info sessions with companies, game nights, professional development workshops and real world projects. The club began with two founding members, Redmond, Wash., senior Kayla Balkcum and Galveston senior Luke Roe, and now has around 30 members. Balkcum and Roe are now co-presidents of the club.

The club also feeds into a competition team, the Baylor Cybersecurity Team, that is nationally ranked and competes against other schools across the country.
